I have a 1991 Bayliner Cobra that was originally equipt with a 150 horsepower Force engine. It is done and I ran across a deal on a 1978 evenrude 150. It runs perfect with solid compression numbers. I have the wire harness attached to the engine but have no throttle controls or electrical boat connections to the wire harness. Any idea where to get new boat controls for the 78 evenrude? Also the wire harness connector I am told is standard is that possible to locate?
You will need a standard, RED PLUG harnesss for OMC.
A good place to look is on Craigslist.org for your area. Look under: for sale>boats> and type in controls, harness, shifter, parts, etc and see what comes up.
Posting HERE to ask if anyone has extra controls might be a good option, also!

You're more than likely to find a set on ebay though quicker than craigslist. Does your motor have power tilt/trim? I do have a set of controls for the older motors for either tilt switch on handle or without. Let me know. You will also need throttle and shift cables too for the OMC shifter. I might have a pair for a bass rig but I need to know the length (and if trim button or no)
