I have a water gauge that reads 0-60psi but my mechanic suggested to get one that reads 0-30psi. Any reason in particular?
Its a 05 Triton with an 04 225 rude. Sorry can't read the serial # all that well from the motor.

Is your gauge bad? If you swap to the 0-30 you won't have any danger of pegging it.
No its not bad works fine. Just got out of shop had a new water pump kit put in and that's what they recommended. So I'm ok with the gauge that reads 0-60psi?

Sure only thing at idle it may not register enough for them to see. should only be 5-8 psi at idle. 0-30 shows idle PSI a little better.
At idle its 5psi. They tested today when put new water pump in.
