    How much carpet to purchase?

I have a 18 foot Stratos. I am going to have it recarpeted. How much carpet do I need to purchase. I am considering putting anti fatigue mat under the carpet on the deck and floor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

23 to 25. I have an 18 ft I redone over the winter and ordered 24ft. I 3ft left over but was lucky not to have any mistakes. you might want to think about the mat under the carpet. Some of the boat makers have had issues with the carpet winkling up over the pad. I had talked to Bass Cat about a mat when I ordered my carpet from them and they told me they hadn't found a mat they liked yet an for that reason is why they dont use it with there boats.

23 ft should be plenty to do an 18 footer.....Also, I would think twice about the mat under the carpet. I have seen boats with the carpet bubbled from the mat....

Yea I understand about the bubbling of the mat under the carpet. If i purchase a premium carpet with the rubber back it should have the same effect right?

The rubber backing, is to protect the backin from rotting from getting wet. I would suggest, get a 24 oz. carpet, the fibers are more dense, and it will feel more comfortable.....
