    Carpet around a curve?

Can someone tell me the best way fold carpet around a curve? I am in the process of replacing the boards on the inside of the fenders on my trailer. I have already cut the pressure treated lumber to fit the curve, but I am not sure how to do the carpet. I am trying to get everything ready so I can launch the boat and install the boards at the ramp. Anyone of pictures or advice on how they did theirs? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I did this a few months ago. I cut the carpet to shape allowing a 2 to 3" overhang making sure to go past the bolt holes a bit.
I made sure each end and the middle were in place then kinda prodded it along. Small creases don't matter as long as the side that shows stays smooth.
It bunched big enough to cut in a place or two. I just cut out a "V" in that place making a seem. I was using spray on glue BTW.

The fender acts as a holder when you tighten it down. I found that as long as the bottom front was straight and the carpet was flat it was held around the backside by the fender. Easy job. IMO

Thanks for the suggestions. I am sure it is not as difficult as I am thinking it is going to be, but well, if anyone can over think something, it is me. Anyone have pictures? I am pretty sure that I know what you are talking about, but like they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words." I hope to tackle this task this weekend!
