Whats the most common reason for a speedometer to stop working I traced the hose back to the motor and as far as I can tell all is good I can't find the hole in the foot where the water comes in any ideas the motor is a 150hp evinrude intruder.

Look about 2" below where the lower and the mid come together on the leading edge of the lower. It's a small hole. Us a small drill by hand to clean the hole out.
