Some preparation and updates the ol stratos (in progress)

Got a new motor on the way. Boat is rated for a 175 but had a 150 faststrike. Good reliable engine but gas and oil usage was getting old. Plus like most guys I wanna go faster so thanks to Junior @ Sportsman Center Ive got a new 175 merc proxs on the way.
HEre is my transom cap I fabricated. I wanted to reseal the old one but after getting it off I had nothing else to do so I made a new one. I pulled the jackplate off to clean it good then I found the jackass dealer didnt seal the transom bolts Luckily no damage.

Anyone in need of some 97 OMC controls? Ill sell them cheap

Had a chunk missing on my pad so I used some marine tex on it. Havent finished this yet. Gonna sand it down then apply a thin layer of gel over it. Shouldnt notice when Im done.

On my new engine Im going with the merc monitor, temp guage, water pressure, fuel, and tach all analoged together so my old panels wont work. I ordered a 24x24 sheet of abs plastic to fabricate new ones. This is the cut panels. I have some carbon fiber veneer on the way to cover them with then I will drill for new guages.

Here is the old aluminum ones.

Anyone need some guages? I'll sell them cheap too

Did a little compounding. I try to put a good coat of paste wax on a year

I will update more as I go but I figured I would share.
