    1992 Skeeter SS90 Partial Restore

Been doing alot of work to my 1992 Skeeter SS90, not as expansive as many of the restores but added my own touch to my new to me Skeeter. Over the past year I have - replaced the floor - new Basscat carpet - custom dash and bow panel with carbon fiber - some iguana decals - front no skid and starting on the trailer re-paint this week. A couple pics so far:

Trailer is going to be re-painted in Rustoleum Hammered Metal Deep Green with new custom decals. Also will be adding updated decals to Mariner outboard and getting the windsheild wrapped this winter - needless to say I will be hitting up Darryl soon.

I'd be proud to have that. Where did you get the non-skid mat for the front?

looks real good. i have a boat that has that same void space in front of the consol. i built a deck outta 2x4's and it made the boat much better for fishing with an extra 2 foot by 4 foot of deck. i dont know what boat companies were thinking people were gonna use that empty hole for

That empty hole in front of the console was on most bass boats back then, made to accomodate the large tackle boxes everyone carried 20 years ago.

    Re: 1992 Skeeter SS90 Partial Restore (BASSCAT7)

I got the non skid matting on the front console at BassPro Shops - its a SureStep adhesive matt. Just cut the matting to shape and applied. Took about 15 mnutes total - cheap fix. I agree I wish it was just a longer front deck, but when I take my father out on the water he has a good place to put his big old tackle box. I will post more pictures after I re-paint the trailer and add the new decals and such. Took some pictures of the console aswell just need to get them on here. It's defintely one of the cleanest 1992 Skeeter boats I have ever seen.

Megabass, you can find that chrome wire cover in a number of online stores, they are referred to as Clamshells I believe.

Here's my favorite picture of mine.

I love these boats they're 800lbs rockets out of the hole.

I'm on my second SS90 now, here's my first:

Nice Job! Post more pics when you finish the trailer. I need to do mine this winter and that hammered finish paint sounds like a good idea.

That SS90 looks awesome, I agree it is a small rocket out of the hole. Just finished putting new Mariner custom decals on the engine and got all my new decals for the trailer. Will be painting tomorrow with a deep green hammered metal paint.

    Re: 1992 Skeeter SS90 Partial Restore (Charger5579)

What is the going value on these boats? I know somebody looking at a very nice 1994 with a 90HP Johnson? Thank you? Also, anything in particular to look for on these boats as far as problems go?
