The final step of gel coat repair

So I had a small scratch on the bottom of my Ranger from a rock. It is smooth now and I have wet sanded and compounded it out but it still seems a bit dull to me. Is this what the polishing glaze is for? Can I hand apply it and get a like new shine to it?

Polish should remove the swirl marks from compounding. Make sure you wet sanded up into the 1000/1200 grit to remove all the sanding marks.

Compounded with a buffer will remove the 1000 marks, then the polish/glaze should remove any leftover swirl marks and put a gloss on the gel. Then wax.
