Good Luck with the repair.
WOW good luck with the repair.
just finished a very similar repair. Other than the grinding, it wasn't too bad to do.
My biggest how-to question for you so far: How did you make your face quit itching after the grinding![]()
Be carefull and wear a mask when grinding the glass. I leaned the hard way, just image that iching in your lungs...not good.
Looks like you got a good start![]()

I wore a mask... It's my forehead that was itching![]()
I think I'll get another good bit done today. Gotta grab some epoxy resin and then I'll get to it. Hoping I don't have to work out of town this week and I can knock it out after work in the evenings.
I have another thing I'm thinking about... The bottom of the wood I cut out to access it was not sealed and the wood was wet. So I ended up cutting out as much as I could get to. When I get done with this side I'm gonna remove the oil tank and cranking battery and run a hole saw in that side and check it. I may cut it out too. I can't figure why they didn't glass that wood. I know water isn't "supposed" to get in there but then they drill holes on top to mount the battery boxes and stuff. Kinda stupid IMO. Hopefully that side's fine because hopefully it doesn't have wet foam sitting in there against the wood.
