best wax or sealer for metal flacke top

my son recently bought a 1997 462v ranger . great electronics and trolling motor , good carpet and every thing works. the top is badly oxidized and we buffed it twice with 2 differant compounds. about 90% better. slight metal flake coming through but much better after buffed .what is the best wax or sealer to try and maintain the shine and protect it now?

3-M or meguiar's both have really good sealer/waxes.for where you are at,,And if you haven't tried the 3-m power cut compound you may wanna give that a shot before you seal it ,some good stuff. But either one of those you can't go wrong.Follow up with some bassboatsaver or a similar spray on wax after uses and your good to go

wet sand it, then buff it ,it is the only way to bring it back all the way then keep her waxed with Meg.

Wet sanding with 1500, followed by buffing will give the best results. Then follow that with a good wax as stated above. Meguire's does make some good stuff.

Make sure you use the correct pads for the product you are using. There is a product out there called liquid ice that comes in a kit that gives some good results. It comes with the compound, pads and wax. Haven't used it but have seen some pix from folks that have.
