What do you use once you drill the rivets out I'm struggling to find something that will work? Ideas PLEASE??????

New rivets. You should have only used a drill the same size as the shank of the original rivet.

3/16 steel anvil rivets is what I use and I get then from Fastenal. Be sure to use stainless steel hinges if you have to replace any, the Basscat I am working on now the previous carpet installer used cheep aluminium hinges that didn't last a year. One of the worst recarpet jobs I have ever seen

I had to use a larger bit because the rivets werent punched out far enought for the bit to bit into them. whoever replaced the carpet last time didnt do the best job in the world. I am really looking for a small stainless bolt about a half inch long with a flay head like a sheetrock screw. Any ideas I have looked on fastenal.com but I am unsure what to search for. What would these be called? Thanks guys.

I was able to use the rivets for the lid side of my hinges, for the boat side i re-used the factory screws. The pop-rivets are the only way to go, and easy.
