I dont remember who posted how to remove oxidation from gelcoat, but thanks.

I may not have actually had to go as far as to sand the area, but that thread a couple months ago gave me the courage to dive in and buy the high speed buffer and pads and the motivation to do the job.

It turned out awesome!!! I used Meguires Fiberglass and Gelcoat Restorer, a 3 part box I got at Gander Mountain. You would never know that area was ate up with the exception of a couple very tough to reach places, and you really need to look to find them.

I too used the Meguires 3 part box. It worked better than 3M for me. I can't get the sanding scratches out with the 3M Perfect It so bought more of the Meguires.
