My project 2007 285 stratos

A local dealer I know asked me if I wanted another project boat and I couldnt turn it down. $1500.00 for just the hull. The boat was in a auto accident and came off the trailer. The trailer was smashed! Theres no holes or cracks other then stress cracks. No stress cracks or anything near the transom. Anyway Ive ordered a new opti 150, five year warranty for 7500.00. I bought this trailer and wheels for 1000.00, TM for 800.00, graphs for 400.00, hydro steering for 500.00, 200.00 for a new rub rail but the old one will be used on another project. Now I just need to do a little work to the trailer and gel coat. The trailer will be getting bed liner treatment this week. Not sure if Ill fix the gel coat this year or not. Spring is close! Anyway just thought I would share. IM STOKED to be back on the water!!!

So you spent a total of almost 12K, is the value of the boat worth that much now? Just curous if it would be worth it to do this. It does look like a great boat and I am sure it will be awesome when your finished.

Well I look at it like this. Everything on the boat will be new. The motor has a five year warranty, to me that was super important. In the end Im sure if I cant sell it for what I have into I could part it out and not be out of pocket much. Yep its worth that to me
