In my re-carpet project I came across these 2 situations..... There is somekind of a bondo material there. It came up around the pedestal mount when I was scaping old glue... What is it and what can I use to replace it before I put the new carpet down.???

It exists, I've seen it in a few boats, just fill the crack with some fiber glass filler and sand smooth.
Found the same stuff in my ChampioN. I am pretty sure it is body filler (bondo).
Is there any rot under that crack at the console? I would probe around and see. I had one crack less that an inch that rotted a section of floor approximatly 12" x 30". If it isn't rotten you would need to grind the crack out completely and lay fiberglass tape over it and epoxy or it will crack again.

I'ts body filler. I've recarpeted 20 or so boats in the last year. Ranger ,Triton, Stratos, etc... Almost all of them have had it in the floor area. I think it's from when they unmold the top cap there are flaws they fill in with it. Nothing to worry about really. I would fill in the cracks with body filler or fiberglass though. If there is exposed wood under it I wouldn't want water getting in there.
I really didn't get poking around yet, seen it and thought I would ask fellow BBCer's before I did anything.
I will check it out this weekend, def will use fiberglass mat over that console crack if I don't need to replace any pieces.

+1 on using fiberglass on console floor crack. Looks like bondo used to transition two different surfaces as im assuming the metal plate steps up just a tad bit higher...
