    Clear Coat

    I am getting ready to reclearcoat my 89 Astro. Any advice on this subject would be greatly apperciated.

    Have you tried wetsanding and buffing yet (see the sticky post at the top of the page)? Some of the roughest finishes you can imagine have been brought back to life. I would only clear coat as a last resort.

    I haven't tried it yet, but take a look at the Duratec products. I've been studying this for a while and it seems that this two-part gelcoat finish has some major advantages. I guess "orange peel" can be a real pain and lead to many hours of wet sanding.
