Tell me it gets easier please!!!

Well, after much ripping, scraping, MEK "buzzes", and bloody knuckles, the decks and floors of my boat are preped and ready for the install of the new rugs and seats. Guys, please tell me the hard part is done. My buddy says the carpet install is "easier" than I think and not to worry, but all that cutting around curves and corners makes me nervous. How bout some support!!!!!!

The hard "physical" part is over. When you start the carpet it's a lot easier but you have to keep in mind the nap of the carpet and make sure it's all running in the same direction. You have to watch for glue getting on your carpet, making sure you don't cut the edges too short, little things like that. That's the "mental" part you will face.

Now the good part. You will feel a pride and satisfaction in knowing that you've accomplished something that a lot of people wouldn't even start. Keep up the good work!

KEEP IN MIND OF YOUR DOORS AS THEY ARE ON THE BOAT SO YOU CAN KEEP THE GRAIN-WEAVE OF YOUR CARPET SO IT ALL IS THE SAME FROM THE FRONT TO THE REAR OF YOUR BOAT JUST FOLLOW THE LINK ON THIS BOARD TO DO THE CUTTING I FOUND THAT IF YOU CUT THE CARPET WITH SCISSORS IT IS ALOT CLEANER IF YOU GET THE MEASUREMENT OF YOUR CARPET TO INCLUDE THE AMOUNT YOU ARE GOING TO NEED TO ROLL OVER TO THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR YOU WONT FRAY THE CARPET LIKE YOU WOULD DO IF YOU CUT IT AFTER YOU GLUE THE INSIDE IM ABOUT DONE WITH MINE AND IT LOOKS GREAT ILL POST PICS BY THE END OF THE WEEK
