    Water in transom

I have a 99 cobra 190d, thought I woul check the thru hull fittings and reseal them, they had some water in all of them but the wood is not soft yet. I guess only thing to do is let it dry out and reseal. What about the drain plug fitting should I remove it also and seal it. Checked and sealed the motor bolts no wetness whatsoever through there.
