Best way to fix holes in the floor

When I purchased my boat it had a hand control trolling motor with 3 big foot switches mounted on the floor. I'm am now getting a new trolling motor and big foot tabs will be no more. Problem is, each of them leave 2 screw holes and a larger hole the wires passed through, about 1/2". How do I fix this?

Holes ( marine tex ) is the answer, if you have bigger cable holes say 1/2 and up marine tex is still the answer, just get a tight fitting wooden dowel that fits the hole, but marine tex in the hole and then tap the dowel down until just ever so slightly below the floor, then fill over with marine tex.

Of course you want to pull the carpet pack to do this if you have carpet, or you will have a big mess

Marine tex is available at most boat dealers , or boat supply dealers such as West Marine , some hardware stores carry it, and available all over the internet.
here is link to the company http://www.marinetex.com
