replacing carpet with spray in bedliner type material?

My boat carpet is in need of replacement, but I'm thinking of removing the carpet and having the boat sprayed with a bed liner type material i.e. LINE-X or something like that...any info would be greatly appreciated.

i did this on the inside of my compartments a few weeks ago, used herculiner to line the insides since the carpet would just hold water and stink like mold. i would advise against using herculiner on the deck, it was a very rough consistency to put on and after it dries and would be very uncomfortable to sit on to change lures, not to mention hot it gets in the summer sum. I know bass pro shops carried non skid boat product similar but with a smoother consistency and i believe they carry a couple different colors too. good luck, wish i could be more help to you.

Thanks Dinkman, I'll continue checking with some of the manufacturers to see if they can do it. Thanks again...

I did consider this... and also considered marine vinyl... but realized that there would be more cons than pros when it came to overall use such as comfort and etc etc... I've decided to go for carpets from Basscat... as they dry fast... (I accidently left it outside in a sorrid downpour, didnt discover this mistake til early afternoon next day)... as for cleaning, not a problem... dirt rinse out easily... and for annual preparation, few would use rug-doctor on the carpet and its good as new...

Use the spray-on liner for the trailer... no worries about paint chipping, stratching, or rusts... its pretty durable...

Saw these two products on the internet and wondered what they would be like. Never seen them on a boat here but both look like they could be good alternatives.
