Westsanding Question regarding the proper order

Ok. I'm wetsanding now. A few questions:

    Should I be:
    1. wetsanding 1000,1500,2000 grit sandpaper
    2. applying coumpound
    3. sealing with Pro-tec sealant
    4. Polishing with 3M Ultra Fina
    5. Waxing with Carnuba wax
This is the order that I plan to go in. I've read Basscat7's article and am trying to follow it but I still have a few questions. Like I said, I'm already sanding and have already purchased some One-step compound polish that Meguiars has. I'm confused though. Do I have to apply the Protec AND Wax? Also, am I doing this in the correct order?

you do not have to put a sealant like pro tech on just another layer of protection from the elements i fixed your order....

I'm still in the compounding/glazing stage so I'm not 100% on it, but as an FYI, BassCat recommends using the Pro-Tec before waxing in the second page of posts in the GelCoat thread:

I'm now to the point of wax and sealer. My question is which to do first? The Pro-Tec or the carnauba paste wax? What carnauba paste wax do you recommend?</TD></TR></TABLE>

Pro -Tec on first to seal the pores in the gelcoat.</TD></TR></TABLE>
