    removing glued down carpet

Thanks guys you all gave me some great ideas , will be starting that soon. I think the grinder and wire wheel will be my first pick.

I need to replace the carpet on my 1990 Cajun . I think the carpet is original ..It is glued down good , any ideas to get the glue and carpet off with out wrecking the floor under it ( or least amount of damage ) would be great .. thanks guys

elbow grease and patience is how I got mine off.

tore up carpet...sat there with a heat gun and a scrapper for a full day.
I tried different chemicals and removers people suggested. All they did was make a stinky gooey mess.

I used a metal round brush on my drill and it worked great. Took it right off.

Angle grinder with a wire wheel. I tried the drill with the wire brush on it and it didn't work as well as the angle grinder
