Meguiars one step compound (compound & polish)

I did the first buffing of my boat today, using 3M compound and the white 3M pad. Tremendous difference already, but I feel one more go-around with a polish and the black 3M pad would bring the shine back fully. I already have a bottle of Meguiars one step compound/polish. If I just do light overall polish using the 3M black pad, do you think this would work okay orshould I go out and buy a bottle of polish, instead? Thanks, Matt

I would have to say give it a try in a small spot and see what happens, sound to me that it should work, but haven't tried it myself..

Thanks! I didn't even think about just testing it in a small area, first Stuff worked great. Now, I've got a beautiful mirror finish again.
