Got the front deck done last night. Also got my Pro-Control installed yesterday. Didn't get a real good day in though b/c of the storms (I had the boat at my house covered up and couldn't get it to my buddy's shop to get it inside till about 3:00.) Was hoping to get the front deck and the floor/console area done too. But I had to quit b/c I got hungry.
I'm using Bass Cat 24oz carpet in Ash. It hasn't been too hard. There isn't any old glue remaining, just dirt under the carpet. Worst problem I've had is I shot some silicon under the carpet last summer to tack it down thinking that it'd be easier to get up when I did the carpet. I was wrong...
I used contact cement on all the front and lids. I think it was easier in my case b/c there weren't really any "big" pieces. I really only almost screwed up on the rod locker lid. I got it bout an 1/8" off when I set it down, but I had enough that it didn't screw it up. I'm gonna use carpet glue for the floor, lid under the seats and back lids. They are bigger and I think it'll work better.
