my motor dies when I put it in gear idels fine. Was getting a fuel restriction alarm and slug out of the hole so I changed the in line fuel filter water seperator and fuel line after that is when it started to die when put in gear. I noticed the filter stayed full and the bulb stayed pretty much hard after I was able to get it on plane twice then couldn't get it to run In gear after that but would idel ok
The fuel restriction alarm doesn't come on until over 4K rpm. When you installed the separator did you install the barbs in the correct direction?
That is when I would get the alarm and yes checked it 3 times
Go to lowe's and get a 3/8" straight barb. Bypass the separator and see if that cures the issue. Is is an OEM or after market filter?
Will the purple/white wire on the primer solenoid cause this I just got done looking and noticed it was pulled out the bottom of it
Nope. Only works when you push in the key,
Ok did some more looking took the silencer off and noticed foam from the cowling in the throat of some of the carbs
