re carpeting boat and found passenger seat base held down by 2 bolts.appears to be 2 broken drill bits in holes and 4 other ones had bolts that did not reach whatever is under the fiberglass.does anyone know what is under there that the seat base was supposed to be bolted to .my wife would not be happy if i ejected here at 65 mph. any help would be much appreciated.

found out .there is a metal plate under the glass .I was able to drill and tap 8 new holes

Looking good. What did you use to remove the glue?

heat gun, elbow grease and a little varsol and soft brushes .Was not that bad but would not want to pay some one to do it.
