will poliglow help or is it snakeoil ??

just used 1000 grit on my black base and silver maetalflake vl270 hydra sports bassboat. in the fl. keys. under magnifying glass i see pitting. is poliglow the thing i want to use to keep boat shining for a few months at least? tired of compounding and waxing every couple weeks. gentleman who owned boat before let paint/clear gelcoat go for too long.
    thanks,glen

Poliglow sucks. It's not very tough stuff even if you follow the directions correctly. I had a friend who use it on his boat. It tends to flakes off after awhile, especially on the transom. Also, you cannot cover the boat and leave it outside with poliglow applied. If it's windy, the cover will rub against the poliglow coating and the coating will rub off in various spots and look terrible.

Poliglow would work well and make your boat look good if your boat was in a showroom all day and wouldn't touch the water. The only situation I would use poliglow is if it's an old bass boat that's pretty beat up in general.

Try Bass Boat Saver. Only takes a five minutes to apply to an entire bass boat. Most people apply after every outing. Good stuff.

I AGREE !!!! BBS, Bass Boat Saver is the best I have found, I wipe the boat down every time it comes out of the water before I even strap it down to the trailer. After using it for 3 year I have yet to wax the boat and it looks liek NEW. GREAT STUFF.
