i cant say from experience, but i have heard from someone on here that they used fishing line to remove their old stickers.
dont know if it works, just relaying the info i seen![]()

Hair dryer should work fine to soften the old adhesive. Used it on old race car numbers. WD-40 or goo-gone and a rag for the leftover adhesive. I would caution against a heat gun, but if you HAVE to, keep it well away and keep an eye on the temps. Hair dryer is the safe bet.
hair dryer is good.....watch the goo be gone though...leaves a bit of "residue" or whatever after your done....it can clean up though....
They also make a product called sticker off that does a great job. You can get it at Walmart, West Marine, or Boaters World for sure.

I used simple green. I took a paper towel and put it over the decal and sprayed and let it sit, came back about ten minutes and peeled it off. Had to clean the glue same way.mcgaff1
