    Carpet Grain

Recarpeted my '92 Javelin about a week ago with the help of a good friend of mine. Everything went awesomely well untill I decided to go to the local 7-11 for some coffee. I told Jamie to go ahead and carpet the lid for the gas tank access door while I was gone. When I returned back I found that he had put the grain of the carpet the opposite way of the rest of the carpet. I was going to recarpet the lid the following day however.....

I did the recarpet job at the Volunteer Fire Department that I am a member of. When I returned the next day, I discovered that my left-over carpet was gone. I asked around to see if anyone knew what happened to it and everyone got quiet. I later found out that one of the guys had cleaned up the "work bay" and thought that it was junk laying around. He threw it in the dumpster which was picked up that morning.

I guess I'll have to call the guys at http://www.bassboatcarpet.com and order a piece to cover the little foot by foot square lid.

I know it to late now but in the future when you get your carpet run lines down in three colums and put arrows with chalk showing the direction you are going to run it.
