Now what about the ugly looking motor?

As soon as the weather stays warm it'll be time to start all the repairs. New stringers, transon and floor to start with. Started looking at that 88 Evinrude and thought about how ugly it was going to look on this restored boat. I know how to disassemble it down to the last nut and bolt, also have a sand blaster. Anyone here know the steps needed and what products to use for repainting? Thanks

If stripping it down to bare aluminum you absolutely must start with a zinc chromate primer, often referred to as a self etching primer. Top that with an acrylic enamel or lacquer paint in the color of your choice and you should be ready for some decals. I you are looking for an exact match and within a tight budget you can use factory matched products made by tempohttp://www.allaboutboating.com...T.htm
