i have 16 ft shamar bassboat yes the boat sat out side for a numberof years without use when igot the wooden part of the floor was totally gone all was left was a thin ply of what looked to be paper. idon't have a pic to send righ now any help would greatly appreciated.thanks
It sounds like you need to replace or reinforce the stringers and build up from there. You will need to remove all of the floor and wood that is bad. There are several types of wood you can use for the floor, mainly treated or marine grade plywood. Marine grade plywood is quite expensive, but it does not have any voids in the plywood.
I used 3/4" treated plywood, dried it out real good then encapsulated it in epoxy resin, to keep any water out. Being treated and protected by epoxy, you should never have to redo your floor again.
Let me know if we can help you with anything else. As Rollo indicated, pictures would help us see what you are getting yourself into.
