We've had a few burglaries lately and I'm sweating my fishing equipment is gonna be next. I take all my electronics out but often leave my rods/reels locked in the rod box, but I know if someone really wants to get it they can. the majority of the time they are in my shed which is also locked up 100% of the time, but a window break could easily solve that problem.
does boat insurance cover anything in the boat such as rods/reels locked in.
It would depend on who your carrier is and how your policy was written. I always try to include coverage for fishing equipment, some clients do not want it. If it is included and you have a theft your equipment would be covered.. Most companies require evidence of a theft. I always ask my client's to send us good pictures of all there equipment. That way we can prove to an adjuster you had what you said you had. I have been working with the members here to educate them on the difference's between your standard Property and Casuality agent and a Marine speciality agent.
