I've been checking this post hoping to some people to talk to. I'm new to BBC and
new to the WV, area I came from down DC way and have been in WV. for a few years but haven't had good health to do much fishing my health hopefully is now under control (Ive got lung problems COPD is what they call it) I quit smoking so I
hope I will not need to carry around the oxygen bottle with me all the time
I hope to get my boat restored over the next few months and fish this spring it needs a lot of work on it. Its been sitting out side uncovered for about 5 years
I'll need some leadership and guidance to help me get to know places to fish
Ive fish some of the lakes Ive read on the boards but not for a long time Some
of the lakes I fished were Deep Creek Lake, Lake Anna, the Tidal Potomac
Lake toho in FL. there's been many I fished all over the US when I was younger my dad was a big fisherman & hunter I was a member of the renegade bassmasters of Maryland for a few years. I look forward to get to know some of you all.

Its in the panhandle of Maryland Penn. Wv. about 45 min. from Martensburg
or right across the river from Hancock md.

Are you about 45 miles from Charleston ? Where you do guys fish down there ?
I found it on the map didn't see any big lakes close

I fished Burnsville today. I swear the fish have freakin died around here. I got 2 strikes on a jig all day. My Dad snagged one with a topwater and I had one follow in a jerkbait. Seeing 4 fish in 8 hours ain't a good sign at all. Jami, you fishing the qualifier at Sutton?

Hi Steve Sorry about your luck they might be in that change over mode I find when there like that dynamite works best Really Im not a expert but the moon
been bright and they might be feeding more at night
I got my boat loaded up to my house today so tomorrow i go to work on it
I all so looked up that Burnsville lake it looked like an ok lake Im planing a trip down in the spring sometime to spend a few days

my qualifier isn't until oct.southern division is always last it seems.we are at sutton also.

goose i fish east lynn,rd bailey,summersville, burnsville, sutton and the kanawha river.

I thought WV. BASS was in the easten div.? that least MD. is right?

wv bass has 3 division.north,central and south.
there are 3 division tournaments then a state championship.

as far as the buddy trail anyone can fish.

check out sleepy creek lake. Its only a few miles from you, and has some giant bass. Its about 205 acres and electric only.

ya heard of it been by the turn off but never fished it heard the roads and ramps are to bad to take my big boat in there

kanawha river flows through downtown charleston.no limit on the lakes i fish.that drives me crazy.

The road into sleepy creek isnt that bad. A few potholes and wash boards, but they are avoidable if you go slow. I used to pull a 17' glass boat up there with a 4 banger and had no problems. The upper campgroud and dam area launches are grated concrete. The upper will be easier to launch from as it is steeper.

that entire lake is dynomite. plenty of 8+s are caught every spring int he upper end. a 12.24 was caught a few years back by an ice fisherman close to the dam.
