    Cayuga Lake NY Trip

Went to Cayuga Lake last week (6/19 to 6/25) for our yearly male bonding fishing trip! There are four of us and two baots that go somewhere different every year. Had a great time. Rained a little but not like back home. Had 80 to 85 degree weather and 74 degree water. Biggest fish for the week: 4lb 8 oz LM and a 3lb 8 oz SM. We bet on the biggest fish for the day and were throwing 3 pounders away just because we knew they wouldn't win. Beautiful clean green fishies. Here are some pics of the week in review.

    Loaded and ready to go.

    North end of lake.

    Greenie

    Greenie

I think this one was 4.6lb. Notice the clear skies we had!

    And another.

    Our lakefront view!

    Brownie

    More

    Osprey in nest.

    And another

    Coffee maker & toaster!

    A 4.8.

    Our accomodations.

DISCLAIMER: All fish were released to be caught again!

I guess I have bored you enough!
We had a good time and this is the best quality fish were have ever gotten so consistently.

Not me Jazz! I'm the only one with hair. The others are defintely folickly challenged! They have more hair on their chins than their head!
When I got married, all my buds grew go-tees (sp) cause I had one. We took a group picture and in one of them I wore a scull cap so we all looked bald. It was cool!

As for the coffee maker and toaster, it's there!

We stayed at a place we found on the internet. It was in Union Springs, NY. 10 minutes to a great ramp with plenty of parking. Just like NH, NOT! We do this every year and have been very lucky with the rentals we have gotten. Sometimes pictures on the interweb can really be deceiving and make a place look great as well as the owner pumping up the property. Last year at 1000 Islands, St. Lawrence seaway was a little cramped. They said there was plenty of room for 4 guys but it wasn't. I slept on what I called the "ghetto porch"! At one time they had a fire and the ceiling rafters were charred and that is what I looked at when I layed down.
We just happened to stay at the same place that Ish Monroe and Mike Iaconneli stayed at on Lake Oneida a few years ago. They were there for a BASS 2 lake Tx.

How deep were the bass? Any big females on the beds?

What was the hot lure for the sunny days?

    Re: (Danman)

We were catching them in between the gorilla drilla in 5 to 10 feet of water. Did not see them on beds. They seemed to off of them hanging around. Was nothing to see 10 to 15 bass in one area. But, try and figure out what they want to eat?! Fish were caught on senko type baits, texas rigged black worms and tube baits.
