    Highland Lake Day 2

Well, I took Jazz's advice (mistake of the day) and went to Stumpfield. The gate was closed and I had to back up about 150 yards to turn around. Anyone know why the gate was closed ? So Phil and i decided to hit Highland Lake. Water temp dropped 5 degrees since yesterday. A lot of the weeds had disappeared. It was quite cold in the morning but the breeeze picked up and made it a comfortable frigid. We went up to the north end and managed to get a 1.5 smallie and a 3 (-/+) largie. Went down the lake to a nice spot and landed 3 more. One was about 3 lbs and it hit so hard and took off so fast it nearly took the rod out of my hand. Phil also boated a real nice largie. Called it a day at bout 2:30.

The only bass boats I saw were the Procrafts. We were there from 7:30 to about 2:30. I had 5 and Phil had one. All were nice fish from 1.5 to 3.5. Good fight on all of them too.
