Wiring harness, repair, can I order a new one?

I have a 1987 ProCraft fish and ski, with and Evinrude 150XP.

The serial # is R1818087
Model # E150STLCCA

The wiring harness is just falling apart, and as many of you may recall, I need to rebuild my engine anyway.

I have the ability to build my own wiring harness, but Lord, it will take me forever.

Also, I can only think to color-code the wires using spray paint (high temp paint or something).

Anyway....can I order one? If so...are they insanely expensive? and so on?

Just checking....I'm about to begin the rebuild, and obviously, now is the time to replace the old wires!

New one runs $235. But they are on back order @ BRP.

The wiring harness...which plugs into the ignition modules, starter, sensors....etc....


Probably 100 wires or more.....

$235 for a new one isn't cheap...but it might be worth it. Mine are so old and rotted and brittle.

Have a marine professional check with CDI Inc. as that company makes up wiring harnesses to order.
