Am I the only one that's confused as to why they didn't remove the trees in the creek bed down the middle of the lake? I guess I've just never seen a lake like this before. Couln't they have just made brushpiles?

Re: Lake Wanahoo Update (Fishn Ben)

The logic in the 2nd link before the picture said it was to stop shore erosion and provide cover. They want to keep shoreline washing in from the wind to a minimum and that tree line will help.

Here it is "Satra thinks that by adding the breakwaters – shoreline erosion will be minimized. Something that is vital when maximizing a lake’s longtime potential.

“Quiet water protects shoreline. The breakwaters and the trees will provide wave attenuation and helps break up the wave action,” Satra added."

Thanks Russ, guess I should have read the articles...stupid ADD.

That's an interesting strategy for preventing erosion, I guess time will tell if it actually makes a difference.

If I take you!! Actually the way it goes is like this. 1st I go with Jim or Tony, they show me how to catch'em. 2nd I take Steve and show him how and lord oh lord hope he catches one so he doesn't get pizzed off. It is a 50 - 50 proposition!
