2003 evinrude 225 h.o. hard to crank

Hello guys need some help. I have a 2003 evinrude 225 h.o. when I try to crank it for the first time of the day does't want to idle. It idles at a very low rpm at first, almost like it starveing for fuel. I can rev it up a couple of times and it will begin to idle correctly. When I idle out to blast off it will shut off just like you turn the key off,it will crank right back up then do it again. After 4 or 5 times the check engine light will come on. Turn the key off and back on and the check engine light will go back off . This might happen 4 or 5 times. When I blast off engine will run fine. Idles fine . Starts fine. For awhile! Then sometimes, but not every time, when i take off it will shut off just like you turn the switch off and imediatly back on. seems to happen worse the more load you put on the boat. I've put a new fuel pump on it ,new plugs and a new crank position sensor. Thoughts anyone. Thanks.

Change the fuel filter? Sounds like water in the fuel. A diagnostics check can give you any codes.

Cheap fix if that is it. But I had diagnostics ran last fall when it started this they showed 1 fault it was the crank sensor they put one on . Didn't fix it. Forgot to say that primer bulb seems messed up think that could be it.

+1 on water in the fuel, could also be a clogged exhaust pressure sensor. Has it been de-carbed lately?

I keep ring free in it all the time and do a shock treatment at the begining of each year. Dont think that would be the problem. Takinking it out tommorrow with new filter to see if that is it. If not going to take it in to a professional. thanks for the input.
