    Columbus Pool

Am wondering about Cloumbus Pool. Is there much wood (stumps or laydowns) that are visible? Are there brushpiles placed to attract bass and crappie?

    Re: Columbus Pool (Bass Counselor)

this morning I caught between 30 and 40 (lost count) bass from 10" to 2 lbs in about an hour... Had a lot of fun, but maybe 6 of them would have kept. Just happened into a school of them...

There was a helicopter and two airboats spraying today... they ran everybody out of the pits and on the main runs.... 2-4-D was everywhere.... I left about 10 am

Guys no need to come any further north, the grass has taken over the waterway. You would have to go all the way to bay springs to find any water with no grass and the fishing there has been sucking this year. Might as well go to picwick.

Then I won't worry about repairing this ding in my prop and wait to fix it when i get back. Sounds as if this is one of the premier fisheries! Thanks for the info.

You'd have to go thru about 3 or four locks to get there... it'd be about a 4 hour ordeal each way...

Do you have a tourney on Columbus or something? Maybe I can help you out a little.... I pretty much stay on Columbus.... but if you did want to lock, I'd go down to Aliceville pool.. and I can help there too, but not as much...

Look @ Google Earth - Columbus Lake...

Will be in a tourney Early Dec and I have never fished there before, so I was trying to get a peek at what to expect. I was jking about running to Pickwick. Guess I'l lhave to wait and see what's down there when i get a chance to go later on. I normally fish on Ky Lake and I was hoping it wouldn;'t be too different.
