Johns pond

BBC New England had a get together there on April 29th.
The water temps were mid to upper 50s and there were a few smallies making beds. There was a bunch of nice largies in the canal pond
but they were very finicky early.
If your thinking of going wait until we have a day or two of good solid sunny weather. I would think between 5/6/12 to probably 5/20/12
that place will be on fire as long as we don't have garbage weather for a week or two straight.

Went back there Friday, May 18th to see if the fish were still up on beds,but they are done for the most part. Just little buck smallies hanging around.
even went back thru the canal and checked it out. there was something going on back there with the water, don't know if it was pollen or what but it was REAL cloudy. Didn't get a single bite back there.
If your thinking of heading to Johns just plan on a post spawn bite. should be slow for a few weeks until the weeds realy start coming up.
