Spring is probably the best time of year to fish top side of the dam. I have fished in the spring and had a great time. With a tube or grub bait you never know what is going to bite. Lgmouth,smmouth, crappie, bluegill,walleye,cats. It has been many years but I even caught a hybrid striper once.
Glen Cove will be your best launch site. Good Luck

There is a lot of variety of areas to fish. Steep rock drops and ledges,flats, gradual sloping gravel banks.
