Fishing has been tough for quite awhile and still is. My last really good day was just before the BFL regionals when I had a 20lb+ day flippin off Sealy flats. It's been real slim pickins ever since for most I'd say.
Got on the water around 6:30 with Bruce this morning and right away he landed a 41/2 on a sb near the Indian mounds . From there we moved out to the river and fished the main channel grass before we moved over toward Seminole lodge where we also caught nothing. At the bottom of the Hooch Bruce picked up another small one on a sb while I was flippin mats but that was all we could do. On our way back to the creek I noticed the water was moving around the buoys and suggested we check the old river channel grass. I'm glad I did because I caught a 3+ on sb on my third cast which made me feel just a little better. Once we decided no more bites were to be had there we moved back to the creek and hit a couple honey holes where we caught five more including another 3+ flippin craws. We sure did cover a lot more water than we normally do to catch eight fish but the way fishing has been recently I felt we did ok. Our best five fish were in the 13-14lb range which is not huge but that was good enough compared to our last day out. In any case I always enjoy being out on Seminole.
