need help with a oil tank for a etec rude 225 ho

I was finally able to mount a 2008 Etec 225 ho to my 2003 201 Pro XL and noticed that the oil tank on the boat has a feed and return line(had a 2003 evinrude 225 ficht). But my 2008 etec only has a feed line. Can I use this oil tank still? can I just cap the return?

Yes, but flush out the tank first and replace the filter to be on the safe side

You are having someone knowledgeable to bleed and prime the oil system, then use the laptop to bleed the engine oil lines before running the motor, right?

yes, I am taking it to a Evinrude dealer. I just wanted some info before I brought it there. I dont want to be told I needed a new oil tank if I dont.
