hey bud, sounds like you pops got some sweet property.

This are is one of my favorite parts of the river.

Dunn's creek if full of canals that are always good for fish'n. I've caught fish recently just beating the bank of Dunn's.

Moving water is always key in the river, so keep you eyes open in Dunns creek for spots where the current really gets moving. and don't forget keep the tides in mind.

    Hope this helps.

    Sirmo

Good info Sirmo!! Also, if ya head into Crescent Lake, you'll see a lot of white "bouy's" along the western side of the lake.. These are crap traps, but also mark the steep "drop off" that runs about the whole length of Crescent! I think the bouy's are on the shallow side of the drop! If nothing else, drag ya a carolina rig up and down the dropoff!! Good luck and give us a report if ya catch anything!!

    Re: (markm)

Well I had a decent trip, we worked on the house and installed a new boat lift the majority of the weekend. That is all done so next time I can fish more. I did get out 3-4 hours Fri, Sat, & Sun. morning.
Fri. morning I started throwing a sizmic toad and had 14-15 blows and caught 4 of them. They were just plain missing it, some of them would follow it and hit at it 3-4 times & never come close. The 4 I did catch was b/w 3-4 pds. Fishing in the pads all morning.
Sat. morning I did the same thing, not as many blowups but I caught 5 fish on the toad and went back to the pads from Fri. and caught 1 5 lber on a zoom super hog.
Fri. & Sat. morning I stayed in Dunns Creek the entire time.
Sun. morning I went to Rats creek, had 2 blowups and caught 2 fish. both about 2lbs. Caught 2 more flipping in the pads.
Did go out w/ dad one afternoon and caught 17 red breast and bluegill. All had row in them, that's his kind of fishing. After he saw all those fish blowing up in the pads I think he will be bass fishing a little more by the time I get back down.
Great trip, can't wait to get back.
