A friend of mine is coming down this weekend 2-4/5 and wants to fish the St. Johns River. I havn't been down there since june of last year, any ideas on where I could put him on a fish or two?

Steve, aka Fatboy, should be along soon to offer some good advice on the St Johns River. But if it was me, IÂd head to Salt Run Springs, Silver Glenn, or Juniper Springs on Lake George for some awesome sight fishing. It is hard to beat this time of year. If the fish are in the canals IÂd look at Astor. Astor has a lot of canals and is close to Lake George. The Astora Motel is a perfect place to stay in Astor ((386) 749-4566). Good luck.

The best fishing is from Astor on northward.. The river is still out of whack down this way.. Good Luck on your trip!![]()
The Celebration Tournament out of Palatka is this Saturday. $10000 1st place and it will draw a lot of boats, all heading to the springs. Sunday will be the better of the two, but the springs, glen, astor canals and other areas will be hit hard.
