seeing as how it's just a wider pool than normal of the river, does all the current still knock it out of commission?
Never fished it and my club has put it on their calendars for the end of the month. Don't want to go out if it's dangerous.

I was on Dardanelle last Saturday and the river was rolling.
Keep in mind that it being wider than up around Fort Smith and Ozark, the same water and trash still goes through Dardanelle. Personal opinion is if you stay down towards Russelville you won't see as much big water as you would up river, but still potentially dangerous.
It was flowing 180k yesterday and 170k today.
Regardless, be careful and keep a watchful eye.
As long as you stay down on the lower reaches (shoal bay and lower) its not that bad. I was up there yesterday and you really have to watch out for debris when out in the main river area, but besides that its not too bad.
when its flowing over 150k if you go up past shoal bay you are nuts. now later in the day if the wind picks up to 10 to 15 the stretch out from piney where the rock quarry is will be like running in the ocean. the flows now are forecasted for 205k into the weekend i actually would not consider anything up from deleware til it slows down some.
