    Replacing Reeds....what to get?

I'm going to replace the reeds in my '91 GT 200 mod: VJ200SLEID ser: 02600222.

Other than the reeds what gaskets am I going to need other than the
    - (0332266) leaf plate gaskets, i guess i need 6.

Are there any other things I should think about doing that I may over look, while I'm doing this..

    Thanks

when you pull your manifold off there is a gasketbehind that also your carbs will have gaskets between the manifold and carbs

Stock or aftermarket reeds? There is a timing difference with fiber reeds as well as carb adjustments..

    Aftermarket, fiber reeds.

Did this motor have metal reeds originally?...just curious b/c it has fiber reeds in it now, was wondering if they are stock.... I noticed some cracks in them, when I had the carbs off to rebuild them.

What should the timing be adjusted to?

IS it a GT 200 or a limited edition? That's the same model as mine and it's a limited edition. Might not mean anything but wonder if you have a limited edition under that GT hood?

Curious about the reeds too. Thinking of switching to boyseen fibers so I'll be watching your post.....

If you are switching to the Boyensen reeds you will have to follow their directions before you make the conversion and make darn sure your motor is up to snuff! Have fun!

I'm not sure....all the decals are GT.
Whats the difference between a Limited Edition and a GT??? Now I'm curious!

Thanks for the help ChampioNman... As far as gaskets I need...

Yep all numbers will work. While the intake is off test the recirc valves and replace if necessary.

The LE had a little higher exhaust port timing and intake port timing and a lighter cowl. Bigger jets and if I remember correctly carb bodies were bigger over a stock GT both were close and mostly a marketing deal. But a few were from Second effort, not many though. You'll be fine if you follow the setup from boyensen. Just follow their set ups.
