I think everyone is catching up with them in fishability and quality, but just not the price... wow, rangers are in a league of their own when it comes to the $
dont know about that you priced a new gambler lately!![]()
Just about everyone i know or fish with or against has a ranger. they are great boats i just have a little bit of a speed freak still inside me. but i will give it to them boys in flippin. those boats run a heck of alot better than they used to. back in the early to mid 90s you could swim faster than they would run.
boy thats going to make someone mad!
' 94 Bass Cat EYRA with a 150 Merc! I had a Ranger...........but I like the Cat better

my dad has a 1990 ranger 360 with a 150 GT Johnson, i love my triton, they're fast and have tons of storage, im a speed demond myself and the triton has plenty of speed, it will run with or outrun any ranger with a 225 and catch just as much fish as those $45,000+ boats but don't get me wrong i like the ranger too, when i get older and get the speed demond out of me I will go with a ranger!

Thats comparing apples to oranges, which by the way I REALLY like oranges... I mean GamblersWhen you compare Ranger to the other cookie cutter brands I think they are in a league by theirselves when it comes to price. But I will say Skeeter's trying to compete on that level now with the new iClass boats... I mean geez, list prices that are over $50k for a bass boat

2003 Skeeter TZX190 and 175 Yamaha HPDI
You guys are right, these boat prices are crazy. The market has driven the prices threw the roof. The commerialization of bass fishing and promotion of the sport has changed everything. My dad had a 1979 Skeeter Wrangler years ago which was considered a really nice rig at the time. That boat only had lights, aerated livewell, a few gauges, and some basic electronics on it. Now the high-end boats like the "Z" and the iClass have everything you can imagine built into them, push button dash panel, alarms, digital everything, etc. You are gonna pay for all that crap and none of it will help you catch fish except maybe the gps/sonar unit. Just my two pennies.
You are exactly right but they have use where they want us. You know why bass boats are metal flake, right. Beacause a redneck cant resist anything shiny!![]()
1998 Ranger R17 Sport 115 Mariner
By no means fast, but a comfortable rig and the price was right. One owner, hardly saw the water, garage kept. $8,000.
Call me Slopoke Rodreguez if you want, but she's purty, comfy, and a cheap date.

OK Slopoke![]()
Just kidding dude. Theres not a thing wrong with that rig. Before this one I had a Skeeter SS90 with an 85hp Yammie. It was no speed demon. I sure caught a lot of fish out of it though.
