Arkansas BBC'ers, Let's Have a Get Together!!!

Who would be interested in having an Arkansas BBC get together?? A few of us have been talking about it. Skeeter Jay, HeavyMetalBassinKing, and myself would like to round up a few folks and have a BBC Meet-and-Greet kinda thing. I'd like to get a few ideas on when and where. So, let's hear it..................

Hows Lake Dardanelle, mid October sound?? we could have some kind of get together on a Friday night and then meet up Saturday morning for a little buddy type tourny? Just do a small entry fee, keep it fun and simple? We've also got skeeterjim and BassJunkie interested already

So speak up if you are interested. You dont have to own a boat to join in, I am sure we will have enough boats to accommodate some non boaters.

I'm not, I may try to go to the next Texas Rally whenever it comes around.

So is there not anyone interested in getting a mini Arkie rally going??

Jay, it looks like I may be working quite a bit next month . Generally won't know if we're working Saturday until late in the week. Kinda makes it hard to plan stuff. I really want to meet some of you guys, though. Geez, why can't I be independently wealthy??

man that sucks! It may be hard to get people together this time of the year anyway since hunting seasons are starting up. We can all get together sometime, maybe we just need to start trying to get a real rally together for the spring??

Mid October is good with me....though late this month would be better, like say even next weekend.......

By October, my dad will want to go fishing and might not want to fish in a Tourny....but you never know

I'm unsticking this thread. Looks like everyone has too much going on right now. Can't get everyone's schedules together. Not letting it die, though. Maybe have more luck in the spring??

ya its a shame, I guess the upcoming hunting seasons have everybody all tied up. We need to start planning a spring get together pretty soon, that way we will have a good turn out

Jay, Brown Trout said we can bring whatever boat we want. We just have to keep our distance from the Rangers. Don't want to make them look bad...............

I can do that... besides it would be embarassing if my bug boat got out ran by a lead sled...

Yeah, we'd like to see at least a 100' gap between the Rangers and the . . . . . other rides

Bring what ya got. Skeeters, Allisons, etc. Fiberglass or metal. If you'd like to be a "non-boater" and ride in the back of one of the others, that's OK too. A good time will be had by all. BBQ will be on Friday evening after the factory tour, tour of the FLW Sports Gallery and the Ranger boat rides. Pre-fish the lake earlier in the week or trout fish on the White River. Registration meeting will probably be Thursday night in the Hospitality Room where we'll down some , I mean discuss the tournament rules, weigh-in, start time, etc. This will be a non-cash tournament since the primary purpose is the Rally where we all get together and meet the guys we've been talking to on the BBC boards over the years, plus the factory tour, etc. Plaques will be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and we'll raffle off lots of gifts for the members as well. So the entry fee is essentially only a small fee to cover cost of the BBQ. I'm still hoping to get some add'l sponsors to help offset the price of that also.

Is that usually the date of the Cystic Fibrosis Tournament on Norfork ? If BassCat is the end of April, that should be Cystic weekend ? Oh, well, But would be fun to meet all the folks on BBC . D.
