Aint been, but somebody oughta report; I drove past all the ramps from GSV to Scottsboro on the way to my hunting club on Tues and there were boats everywhere; somebody needs to do some chattin
The BFL tourney there last week shows how tough the fishing is. I was out and had the better luck in creeks compared to the main river. Right before dark they were snapping frogs around the mats.

Fished Tuesday - Thursday of last week; it was tough and, the few we caught were feeding on shad off of the main river channel where the channel runs close to the bank. Tried crank baits around mats/humps, as well as, top water around the mats late. Caught nothing and of all the boats doing the same, I never saw them catch one either. I am sure there's a "pattern" that would produce, I just didn't figure it out. The only creek I tried was Town Creek... nada. Sorry for the crummy report but take heart, the whole situation can change in a week's time. And, this was my first trip to Guntersville, so take my experience for "what it's worth"... good luck.
