Goose Pond...Help

Anybody have directions to Goose Pond Colony at Guntersville...I live in Tuscaloosa and have a Tx up that way in August....and possibly a Suggestion on a place to stay..Thank's Alan...also thought about fishing the Snag-proof TX on August 15th anyone else fishing it by chance..

Can't help you on a place to stay but you have two options for getting there. Option 1 is to take I-65 N to the Huntsville/Decatur exit and get on I-565 E which will carry you through Huntsville, then it turns into Hwy. 72 E which goes to Scottsboro. Option 2 is to take I-65 N to the Hwy 278 E exit at Cullman. Take 278 through Cullman and turn left on Hwy 69 which will carry you through Arab and into G'ville. Take Hwy 431 N across the bridge until you get to Hwy 79 N which will take you right to the entrance to Goosepond. If it was me, I'd choose option 2 which will be a little shorter. However, option 1 will be better roads and less driving in the smaller towns.
